Forewarned, forearmed; to be prepared is half the victory
(Miguel de Cervantes)
Rely on me. The average person goes through the home buying and selling process only a few times in their life. I am an expert at navigating the ups & downs of this process. You can trust me to support you every step of the way.
Have a plan B. “Expect the best, plan for the worst, and prepare to be surprised.” (Denis Waitley). It is important that you have a back-up plan for each step of the process from viewing homes to having an alternative place to live.
Ask for help. Buying a home can be a stressful process. Don’t be afraid to ask family, friends and neighbors for help. Most people are happy to help, if they can. Also, I am your best resource. I have a wide range of professional contacts that can assist you in handling just about everything you need relating to buying a home.
It’s a marathon not a sprint. You should be prepared to be fully engaged in the process until the moment when both parties are sitting at the closing table, all contracts and documents have been signed and the money has exchanged hands.
Be available. There can be a lot of ‘hurry up and wait’ experiences in real estate transactions. It is important that you be available to answer questions, negotiate contracts, attend inspections, meet with contractors and handle the many tasks that will arise. I recommend you not plan any trips or vacations unless you are confident that you will have phone, email and internet access.
